Jimmy Carter was the longest-lived US president and the first to reach the age of 100. Carter made arrangements to be buried in his hometown in front of his home at 209 Woodland Drive in Plains, Georgia, USA. In 2006, he said that a funeral in Washington, D.C., with visitation at the Carter Center, was also planned. Carter requested President Biden to deliver his eulogy.
