Nikolaas Tinbergen used his Nobel Prize money to help others conduct research. To help the Hooke Library buy books, he donated £1000. The Hooke Library is the lending library of Oxford University for science subjects. It is named after the 17th century Oxford scientist, Robert Hooke.
