Founder

Frédéric Passy was the Founder and President of the first French peace society. The society renamed itself Society française pour l'arbitrage entre nations in 1889.

He was also one of the founders of the Inter-Parliamentary Union. This was an organization for cooperation between the elected representatives of different countries.
