Robert Furchgott’s family donated his awards to SUNY Downstate. On 8 Oct 2009 the university displayed them in the atrium adjacent to the auditorium. The awards included his Nobel Prize and many others such as The Lasker Award for Basic Medical Research and The Gairdner Foundation Award.
